Kimberly and the Breakfast Fish

It’s a hot summer morning, and Kimberly is just waking up. She hasn’t eaten since late yesterday, and her stomach is growling for new prey. She’s in luck, too, because a breakfast feast is waiting for her! Bite by bite, more and more food disappears into her mouth, gone down her throat and never to be seen again. Rice, meat, water, it’s all fair game.

One lucky fish found himself in the mix, too, and her digestive system isn’t treating him any differently. He evades her for a moment, but his fate is already decided. He goes into her mouth, and is indiscriminately pushed down her throat just like everything else. To her, he’s just part of breakfast, but to him it’s the end of the line. He’ll spend his final minutes wallowing in the rice and digesting meat, all of which will be flowing through Kimberly’s veins by the end of the day. Lucky fish.
